Hello World!
Tonight I’m having a hard time writing when there are so many things I want to say and yet nothing seems like it would be of substance. So I sit here and continue to type in hopes that the right words will appear on the page and help someone.
Today as I went to work I couldn’t help but continuing to wonder, “is this really what I need to be doing? How is this fulfilling my purpose that the Lord has for me?” and to be honest, those two sentences ate at me all day. Is this what I need to be doing? How exactly is this fulfilling my purpose that the Lord has for me? An answer did not come immediately and as the day dragged on, I continued to dive into these two questions.
Now as I got home I began to do something that I feel a good majority of the population does. I doom scrolled on my phone trying to let my mind declutter from a long day and wouldn’t you know it, one right after the other, multiple videos flooded my FYP saying the same things over and over answering my two questions I struggled with all day. Now some my say that I am reading too much into them or that it is just a coincidence but believe me when I tell you, this was no such thing.
Throughout the videos I began to see how The Lord was using the only way I would listen in that moment, through technology. You see, alot of times we think that when The Lord tells us something it should be through an incredible life changing gesture but in my experience, he talks the most when you are the quietest. As I began to doom scroll my mind had gone blank allowing the words he needed me to hear soak in.
The answer to my questions is simple really; “Serve wherever you are in whatever you do. Have faith and trust in me and mountains will move.”
Now, let’s break that down. Wherever you are, serve God in all seasons and things you do. Meaning, yes, you my not be at the top of the vision that he has given you but how will you serve him at the peak of the vision when you are unwilling to serve him when the path is still rocky? Serving him may look like lending a shoulder to a co-worker who needs grace and comfort. Serving him may look like praying for someone who just seems to be angry all the time. Serving him comes in all aspects and if you pray for it, he will open more and more opportunities for you to serve and bring others closer to him.
Have faith and trust in me and mountains will move. Throughout all seasons have faith because just as he has given and entrusted you with this vision, you must trust in him to guide you and sculpt the materials it takes for you to get there. Faith and trusting in him will lead you to the vision he has created for you. Trusting in him will lead you to something bigger than you could have even dreamed of.
I hope that The Lord speaks to you and answers your prayers and or struggles today. love you all and cannot wait to see what God has in store for your life.
