Hello World!
As we come back from the holidays I wanted to touch base on something that my family read during our Bible study.
As most people focus on the birth of Jesus every year, my family read through the accounts of his crucifixion so we may remember the reason God blessed us with Jesus being born. As we read through tonight, a phrase stuck out to me. “The spirit is strong but the flesh is weak”. This resonated to me in many ways.
There are plenty of times where I feel as though I can’t get done what I’m being called to do because I am tired from work, have other worldly things to handle, etc. This is something I have struggled with for a while now. Well, we read this line tonight and it made me realize that those feelings of tiredness or laziness are due to the flesh being weak.
As I continue this journey of faith I now realize that I will have to pray and actively work on feeding more into the spirit instead of the flesh. When those moments of tiredness or laziness hit a conscience effort needs to be made so I may follow the path Jesus has laid out in order to serve him and the kingdom of heaven.
