Hello World!
I have a question for you. Who do you relate to most out of everyone you have read about in the Bible? Have you read through the Bible and immediately connected with a story about the struggles that someone faced and related to how they call on God? If I were standing beside you right now, what would your answer be?
For me, the person I relate to the most in the Bible is Moses. Now, there is a lot that can be taken from the story of Moses but as someone who has always had a push and pull relationship with The Lord (entirely on my end as we know he never wavers), I can relate to portions of his story and how he must have felt at times. The anger that he felt, the feeling of not belonging, the fear of not knowing yet trusting in The Lord to do it anyways, these are the parts that I can relate to.
Why am I asking you this? Well, because I know that the Bible is put in place to teach. It teaches us about God, about Jesus, about human struggles, and so much more. Therefore, I believe that it is not uncommon to recognize traits of yourself in a story and feel as though it resonates with your life. This is such a blessing that we have. We have been given the word of God so we may understand what to do by seeing those that came before us living out their journey with The Lord. As we grow in our journeys I encourage you to read through your Bible and see who it is that resonates with you. I encourage you to ask yourself “why?” why does this person resonate with you and what traits do you see in yourself that they are struggling with?
