There’s this song that I listen to every time I know someone is going through something where they need healing. You may have heard it before, “In Jesus name” by Kathy Nichole. The lyrics always speak volumes and when I sing it it feels like I am praying. I think of the person that needs prayers of healing and I sing this song. However, this is something new to me. So my question to you is, do you think songs can be prayers?
The book of Psalms. Now I will admit that I have not read this book of the Bible all the way through, however, I have read enough to hear the praise and prayers in the songs and poems written in the book of Psalms. This is where the confirmation came to me that yes, songs can be a form of praise or prayer. So if you’re like me and you come from a background of music, I encourage you to give this a try if you haven’t, especially if you struggle with prayer.
