God has a purpose for you.

John 15:16 – “You didn’t choose me. I chose you.” I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

Sometimes we can get so caught up in this world where it can be hard to hear God’s voice. Sometimes it can be hard to remember that you are called by Jesus to be a part of something greater than you could ever imagine.

As I sat on my couch this evening, a reel came across my phone. It was a lady who explained how God called her and brought her into the life he had planned for her. As I watched I realized that I did not come by this reel by accident. As she talked all I could think was “That is exactly how I feel.”

As I write to you tonight I am reminded of the Bible reading I had this morning during my quiet time with the Lord, John 15:16. That is when it hit me. We don’t necessarily just choose Jesus and match him to our life. He chooses us and waits patiently for us to choose to love him back. He already has our purpose laid out. He already knows what our calling is. He already knows how we will use our calling and how it will further the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you feel like you are stuck, lost, trapped, or if you’re like me and actively feel like screaming from the career you have even though it matches everything perfect. Then God may be calling you out of that life and into the path he has created specifically for you. All you have to do is love and trust him. Listen when he speaks and when you don’t hear him, pray and trust that he is near. Your waiting season is leading to a wonderful life customized for you by your Father who knows you best.
